Founding Organizations International Society on Virtual Systems and MultiMedia (http://www.vsmm.org) Since 1998 VSMM has been actively supporting and participating in the development of the virtual heritage industry. In 2000 VSMM created the Virtual Heritage Network for the purpose of promoting and fostering virtual heritage through workshops, conferences and information dissemination. Each year it holds a major international conference (now in it's 13th year) at an international location on virtual reality and multimedia applications. A major component of the conferences are the Special Sessions on Virtual Heritage, which attracts a broad selection of professionals and sponsors all working in various areas of heritage and technology. A vast collection of their papers can be found on this website.
